Another summer day! From us here at DQYDJ, congratulations to those graduating today. To those of you preparing to take the Bar - well, you shouldn't be reading non-law related web sites right now. Go back to what you were doing (studying or drinking coffee, I assume).

Sites Linking To Us!

Links We Liked!

  • Sterling Effort discussed the effect of high salaries at large tech companies - mainly a race to the top in the competition for top talent.  The market at work in Tech!
  • Dominique at Your Finances Simplified discusses commuting costs (and how to avoid them).  To the list I add, "Drive Stick".  Maintenance is less since you can replace components of the transmission, there is less rotating mass in the transmission itself , and, oh yeah, it weights less.  So... better gas mileage, cheaper, more fun to drive, and less likely to be stolen.  Win-win-win-win.
  • Control Your Cash had a great article which set me on the right path to staying poor.
  • The Free Financial Advisor(s) get in front of the graduating crowd and tell them where to put their cash!
  • Len Penzo broke a Personal Finance Commandment and lent money to friends and neighbors - read if he escaped with friends and neighbors intact!
  • JT at Money Mamba taunts the blog trolls with a graph about corporate profits and a piece on the Fed's Net Worth report.  Yes, DQYDJ will do something with it.  Yes, we're waiting for the data (so we can abuse it).  So go see JT's post!

Well, What, Huh?

The comment of the week goes to this failed comment:

The ironic part?  This person/bot submitted this comment on our advertising submission page.  Thanks for the compliments... we tried very hard to find the right combination of words for that page.  Come back often!
